Nine people have been arrested after 15 people were killed when armed men attacked two banks and a police station in central Nigeria, police said on Friday.

The gang struck in broad daylight in a busy commercial district in Offa, Kwara state, on April 6, opening fire indiscriminately as they made off with the looted cash.

Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police and head of the Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team has arrived Offa town in Kwara state after the horrific armed robbery attack on several banks in the area on 5th April, 2018. The crime buster arrived the town with his team for assessment.

A 64-year-old man in Guyana has been charged with threatening to kill President David Granger by detonating a bomb at the presidency.

Motilall Balkaran was arrested last month for allegedly calling the police emergency line and threatening to kill the president by placing a bomb at the Ministry of the Presidency, reports regional news portal Caribbean360.
