Bernhard Langer, the German professional golfer, began his professional career in 1976 and has achieved significant success in the sport. Langer's notable accomplishments include winning The Masters twice, in 1985 and 1993, making him the first golfer from Germany to earn the prestigious green jacket. He was also the first player to be ranked number one in the Official World Golf Rankings when they debuted in 1986.

With numerous career victories, Langer holds the second-most wins on the European Tour as of 2014. His success extends beyond a single continent, as he has won tournaments on every continent where golf is played, joining an exclusive group of only four other players.
