Christina Applegate is opening up about a horrible encounter. The Dead to Me actress vividly described her recent experience with sapovirus, a virus that is typically spread by fecal-oral contact, and made lighthearted jokes about how the sickness caused her to "piss out of my ass for a few days."

"I'm going to be gross," Christina—who also struggles with multiple sclerosis—shared on the April 23 episode of her MeSsy podcast. "I woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning in a pool of s--t. I didn't know it happened, and having MS at 3 o'clock in the morning and trying to change your sheets is not fun."

Christina experienced severe health issues after contracting COVID-19 for the first time due to a close relative's negligence. As she is already immunocompromised from MS, she experienced more severe symptoms, including a chest infection and a speeding heart rate. Christina was dizzy, unable to eat, and unable to do anything.

Christina began vomiting during the stool test since it was "so gross" to determine the reason for her illness. She eventually received a sapovirus diagnosis.

About the illness, the 57-year-old said, "It is when you ingest the fecal matter of someone else from your food." "Someone else's poop went into my mouth, and I ate it."

Christina thinks she contracted the virus from a takeaway salad she had at a restaurant that was going to close for an unrelated reason.

"I'm going to be sick for almost three weeks because of this," she added mockingly. "So that's my fun story."

Furthermore, Christina stated that she has developed some strong views regarding adult diapers as a result of her experiences with the sapovirus and MS, both of which can occasionally cause issues with bladder control.
