Paul "PK" and Dorit Kemsley are taking some time apart. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress said that, following nine years of marriage, she and her spouse had split up.

Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8, are the two children of Dorit and PK. "We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage," Dorit posted on Instagram on May 9. "We have had our struggles over the past few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together."

The Bravo star went on, "We have decided to take some time apart and rethink our relationship while we prioritize our children in order to protect our close friendship and preserve a peaceful environment for our children. As we carry out the work required for this journey, we are grateful for your love and support."

Following their split, Dorit opened out about her and PK's relationship problems in the 13th season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, citing the businessman's weeks-long absence from his family in Europe as one of the main causes.

But before the most recent season, the 47-year-old denied reports of a divorce and maintained that she and PK were making every effort to save their relationship.

Dorit and PK expressed their commitment to improving their marriage in an interview with E! News. They believe that relationships improve when partners are dedicated to improving, making adjustments, and listening to one another. Despite facing challenges, they believe that their current situation is a good place for their relationship.

But after her horrific 2021 house invasion, which happened while PK was abroad, the Beverly Beach fashion designer acknowledged she felt cut off from him.

"The post-trauma did a lot of things to me that I didn't expect," she said. It undoubtedly had an impact on all facets of my life, including my marriage. PK travels frequently for work, covering large distances over the globe, and his absences were most noticeable when I most needed him."
