On April 15, 2024, a tragic event unfolded during a sermon at Christ the Good Shepherd when Bishop Mari Mari was violently attacked. As he stood at the pulpit delivering his sermon, an assailant approached him from the right and mercilessly stabbed him repeatedly with a switchblade until he collapsed.

Bishop Emmanuel served as a Bishop of Christ the Good Shephard in Wakely, New South Wales. He had a large following on various social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook and You Tube where he mostly live streamed his sermons and teachings. He had several controversial sermons which made him a target for criticism, hate and online trolling.

Amidst the Delta variations in July following outbreaks and lockdowns in Sydney, he presented an online sermon that reprimanded the coronavirus vaccinations and lockdowns calling them “mass slavery,” saying that the corona virus is just another type of flu no more, no less and he went ahead to call it a “plandemic.”

On the topic of Islam, He questioned parts of Islamic theology and stated that Islam flourished and expanded with the sword. Although is some of his sermons he stressed his love and support for Palestinians in Gaza. Bishop Emmanuel also had a fiery criticism
on the matter of homosexuality and described it as a crime in the eyes of God.

He also attacked the United States President, Joe Biden for supporting gay rights and he urged former United states president Donald Trump to stay true to God and to also resist the influence of Freemasons.

Other topics and issues that he spoke about were about the homilies in the Bible, his opinions on Pope Francis’ woke and he also criticized liberal Christianity. A sermon was posted online by one of his fans where he depicts that The United Nations was established by Satan.
