At the dawn of 2023, the specter of Saudi Arabia’s growing influence on pro golf — and sports in general — served not only as a moral conundrum for players and their fans, but also, some argued, as an existential threat to the multibillion-dollar professional-sports industry itself.

Twelve months later, it’s a different conversation, now virtually devoid of concern about the supposed menace of “sportswashing” and the line between “right” and “wrong,” and more fixed on just how rich the Saudis might make all these athletes before they’re done investing.

Lewis Hamilton has blasted the FIA over its handling of the investigation of Mercedes chief Toto Wolff and his wife, F1 Academy director Susie Wolff, describing the motorsport governing body's conduct as 'disappointing' and 'unacceptable'.

The 38-year-old attended an awards ceremony in Baku for the top three drivers in the Championship, with Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez also attending.

Wolff's absence was noted, however, days after an investigation was opened by the FIA into an alleged leak of classified information between Wolff and his wife, Susie.

Lewis Hamilton predicts more years of Red Bull's tyranny if not remedied by F1's governing body following the team's latest victory at the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix as their ruthless dominant run continues in Formula 1.

Red Bull's RB19 is the most dominant car in living memory winning 20 of the 21 races contested in F1's 2023 season, with Max Verstappen claiming 18 of them. On top of that, it has given them such a margin, that it has allowed them to work on improving it for next year earlier than competitors according to Hamilton.

Former New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, has apologised to Logan Sargeant for skipping the final American race of the Formula 1 season despite being expected to make an appearance at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

November 18 marked the first time since 1982 that F1 cars have thundered around Sin City in an expensive VIP event produced by local hotels and Liberty Media, who own the sport.
