Arsenal won their 14th Premier League game out of sixteen as they disciplined Bournemouth 3-0 in The Emirates Stadium. The first half was dominated by the hosts. They managed to record an astounding 16 shots against the visitor’s 1. The Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers had a heavy task upon him as seen from the shots that came at him. The Bournemouth defense also put in some superb blocks to deny the hosts the lead early on.

Kai Havertz forced the Goalkeeper to punch the powerful effort away. Arsenal defender William Saliba then found himself in an off position inside the box and he cut inside to unleash a shot at goal but it was saved again. Bukayo Saka also attempted to put break the deadlock but denied by the goalkeeper.

The woes were far from over as Takehiro Tomiyaso lay off a headed ball towards goal but magnificently cleared off the line. Eventually the gunners took the lead after winning a penalty after Travers caught Havertz’s trailing leg. Bukayo Saka took the spot-kick and sent the keeper the wrong way scoring his 16th goal of the season.

After the break at half-time, Saka had the chance to double the lead when Saka found himself clean through but shot the ball straight at the goalkeeper. The visitors gained their feet once as they recorded their first shot on target in a rare attack. Justin Kluivert also had the chance to equalize the game but fired the shot just wide. Arsenal crushed the visitor’s fightback by doubling their lead as Declan Rice elegantly flicked the ball to Leandro Trossard who fired it first time into the bottom corner.

Bournemouth managed to score a goal inspiring a much needed comeback as Antoine Semenyo lay the ball into the net. It was however disallowed due to a foul on David Raya in the build-up. Arsenal Defender Gabriel then capped the cherry on top by making the score 3 with the goal of his life. A half-volley into the top corner. Woe unto him when he saw the referee raise his flag up for offside therefore disallowing the goal.

Declan Rice rounded it all up in injury time with a precise strike. After this 3-0 loss, Bournemouth remain 10th.
