Team World tied the 2022 Laver Cup against Team Europe at two apiece after Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe managed to overcome the deadly duo in Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal on Friday in London.

The contest was neck-and-neck the entire time, coming down to a Match Tiebreak after splitting the first two sets: 4-6, 7-6 (2), 11-9.

Federer and Nadal won the opening set 6-4 before Sock and Tiafoe forced a tiebreak in the second set.

In the second set, Federer and Nadal were up 5-4 and 6-5, just one game away from winning the match on a couple of occassions.

During the Match Tiebreak, Federer served on Match Point for Team Europe, but they ended up losing 11-9 after three more points.

After the match ended, Federer was unable to hold back his tears, crying as he gave his farewell speech.

Nadal was also in tears as Federer thanked him and the rest of Team Europe for joining him on this final ride.

The Swiss tennis legend had to stop his speech multiple times to cry, but assured the fans that he was happier than he had imagined.

Federer, 41, retires with 21 Grand Slam titles to his name -- eight at Wimbledon, six at Australian Open, five at U.S. Open and one at French Open.
