Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's six-year divorce has taken a new turn as Jenna has asked to be compensated from Channing's Magic Mike earnings. The Step Up alumni couple, who share a 10-year-old daughter named Everly, has been going through legal proceedings for nearly six years. Jenna is requesting a portion of Channing's earnings from the Magic Mike franchise.

Jenna Channing's attorneys contend that the original film and its first sequel should be regarded as "community in character" because Channing developed and co-financed them during their marriage, and that the "intellectual property" from her Magic Mike appearances has become a multi-million dollar cultural phenomenon.

Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike franchise was partially inspired by Channing's experiences in his late teens working as a male stripper in Tampa. During their marriage, the first sequel and the original movie were released, demonstrating the support that the community had for Channing's work.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first movie brought in roughly $167.2 million worldwide, while the most current and last sequel brought in $57.1 million. It has also been used as the basis for a 2021 reality spin-off.

According to the records provided by Jenna's legal team, Channing and his financial team "created a complex web of LLCs, holding companies, and partnerships" in order to "dilute" Magic Mike's earnings and offspring profit.

The 43-year-old Jenner, who is legally unmarried, alleges that during their 2018 divorce, her ex-husband neglected to tell her about Magic Mike's business potential. To ascertain the future asset division between the couple, she has asked for a retrial.

The actor from 21 Jump Street has made community investments and transacted business pertaining to the Magic Mike franchise, according to confirmation from Channing's attorneys. They assert that this is a "last ditch effort" to postpone the couple's ongoing divorce, which has been going on since they announced their breakup in 2018.

A list of preliminary witnesses, including director Steven of Magic Mike, producers Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan, and screenwriter Reid Carolin, has been presented by former couple Channing Channing and Jenna Channing. In addition, Steven Kazee, the fiancé of Channing's ex-wife, who has a boy named Callum and another child on the way, testified about Jenna and his cohabitation, joint expenses, and other relevant issues. Channing is currently connected to Zoe Kravitz.
