British actor Helen McCrory, who starred in the television show “Peaky Blinders” and the “Harry Potter” movies, has died, her husband said Friday. She was 52 and had been suffering from cancer.

Her husband, fellow actor Damian Lewis, said McCrory died “peacefully at home” after a “heroic battle with cancer.”

“She died as she lived. Fearlessly,” Lewis wrote on Twitter. “God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

McCrory was one of Britain’s most respected actors, making her mark by playing a succession of formidable and sometimes fearsome women.

Hours after Tom Cruise's alleged bombshell audio emerged, fellow Hollywood heavyweight George Clooney has revealed what he thinks about the entire ordeal.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, The Sun leaked an audio recording purportedly of Cruise screaming at members of the Mission: Impossible 7 crew. E! News has not verified the authenticity of the recording but two sources have confirmed its authenticity to the New York Times. In the recording, fans can hear what sounds like Cruise on an expletive-laced tirade, reprimanding unidentified people in part for "standing around a f--king computer" seemingly in violation of social distancing protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic. It is unclear when and where the audio was recorded.

When contacted by NBC News, a spokesperson for Paramount Pictures declined to comment. E! News has also reached out to Cruise's rep for comment and has not heard back.

A new female-centric "Star Wars" television series is being developed for the Disney+ streaming platform, according to Hollywood trade reports Wednesday.

The show from Leslye Headland, co-creator of Netflix drama "Russian Doll," would be Disney's latest bid to expand the blockbuster sci-fi franchise on the small screen after the runaway success of "The Mandalorian."

Disney did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Deadline Hollywood said the series would be a "female-driven action thriller with martial arts elements and set in an alternate timeline from the usual 'Star Wars' universe."

The Hollywood Reporter said the new show would be live-action.
