Actor Josh Charles found himself faced with a daunting task: keeping a monumental secret from his children. The "Dead Poets Society" star rose to the challenge, successfully concealing his surprise cameo in the music video for Taylor Swift and Post Malone's latest collaboration, "Fortnite," the lead single from Swift's groundbreaking double album, "The Tortured Poets Department."

Taking to his Instagram page on Saturday, Charles candidly confessed the difficulty of withholding such a significant revelation, admitting, "I don't like keeping secrets so that was hard." In a heartwarming revelation, he revealed that he had refrained from divulging the news to his kids until recently.

Accompanying his revelation were snapshots capturing the essence of the momentous occasion. A current photo of Charles alongside his "Dead Poets" co-star Ethan Hawke, who also graced the music video, was juxtaposed with a nostalgic throwback image of the two actors, serving as a poignant reminder of the enduring bond they share.

Reflecting on the experience, Charles reminisced, "Been through a lot with this dude over the years, but safe to say this was a most memorable day," emphasizing the contagious laughter that permeated the set, transporting them back to their carefree teenage years.

In the visually captivating music video, Hawke and Charles assume the roles of researchers tasked with examining Swift, who is depicted strapped to a gurney with an enigmatic electrical contraption affixed to her head. Hawke echoed Charles' sentiments, expressing on his own Instagram page the profound honor he felt in being part of the project.

The convergence of "Dead Poets" and "Tortured Poets" in the music video appears to be a subtle nod to the shared thematic resonance between the album and the iconic film. The inclusion of Charles and Hawke, alongside the late Robin Williams, in the 1989 classic cemented its status as a cinematic masterpiece.

Swift's release of "The Tortured Poets Department," a surprise double album comprising 31 tracks, has already made waves in the music industry, shattering records by amassing over 300 million streams in a single day on Spotify, a historic feat hailed by the music streaming platform.
