Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez still has not announced who his next opponent will be, although the WBC has already confirmed David Benavidez as his mandatory challenger.

David Benavidez fights this Saturday against Demetrius Andrade, after that it could be confirmed or dismissed if he is the next opponent of Canelo Alvarez, but candidates are not lacking.

"Who could beat Canelo? I think Benavidez gives him a good fight," Hearn told FightHype.

He also confirmed that David Morrell is a good fighter.

"I'm not a consultant or a lawyer or a manager, but if I was, I'd say, if you want me to fight David Morrell, you better pay me an absolute fortune," he continued.

"Nobody outside of hardcore boxing fans knows just who is a good fighter."

For Hearn, a possible fight against Morrell lacks "risk-reward", so for now it would be complicated for him to be Alvarez's opponent, even adding that it could be complicated to schedule him against Benavidez.

"But Morrell could be overrated. You never know what he's got until Morrell is in a real fight. But the rumors come from people I really respect in boxing, they say this guy is special."
