Prime Video's hit series "The Boys" is notorious for its dark humor, brutal action, and scathing social commentary on the superhero genre. The show, based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comics, throws us into a world where Supes (superpowered beings) are idolized celebrities by the public, but secretly controlled by the sinister Vought Corporation. Season 3 left us with a bang, and with the season 4 premiere set for June 13th, 2024, fans are eager to see where the twisted tale goes next.

"The Boys" creator Eric Kripke has been dropping hints left and right. In an interview with Variety, Kripke said, "Season 4 is going to be the wildest ride yet. We're really pushing the envelope and exploring some crazy new territory." Actor Karl Urban, who portrays Billy Butcher, echoed this sentiment, stating on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that "Season 4 is darker, funnier, and even more shocking than anything we've done before."

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Homelander Problem: Season 3 saw Homelander (Antony Starr) finally snap, publicly revealing his dark side. The world is now aware of his true nature, but how will they react? Will his popularity wane, or will his violent tendencies further solidify his image as a powerful god? Starr himself teased a "terrifying and unpredictable" Homelander in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The Rise of Soldier Boy (and Maybe Payback?): Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy was a surprise hit in season 3. Though seemingly neutralized, the trailer hints at his potential return. Will he seek revenge on Butcher and Hughie (Jack Quaid) who subdued him, or will he find himself drawn into a chaotic alliance with them? Additionally, the trailer offers glimpses of a mysterious new group resembling Soldier Boy's old team, Payback. Could they play a role in the upcoming conflict?

The Boys Themselves: The Butcher-led vigilante group is in a precarious position. Hughie is disillusioned, Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso) has a family to consider, and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) remains unpredictable. Will they be able to regroup and effectively fight against Vought and the ever-growing Supe threat?

New Faces: Season 4 welcomes Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("The Walking Dead") in a currently undisclosed role. Speculation runs rampant, with some fans theorizing he could be a comic book character like Black Noir or even a brand new Supe creation.

With a confirmed release date of June 13th, 2024, fans won't have to wait long to see how these burning questions are answered. One thing's for sure: buckle up, because "The Boys" is promising a season that's wilder, crazier, and more satirical than ever before.
