According to reports, Iran is reportedly obtaining a formidable armament from Russia that includes fighter jets and anti-aircraft launchers, and it is threatening to unleash weaponry it has never used before in "a severe, extensive, and painful response" to what it perceives as Israel's "slightest action".

Abolfazl Amouei, the spokesman for the Iranian National Security Committee, declared that the Islamic Republic will resist any Israeli invasion and reply with new weaponry. He said that they have prepared for every eventuality and urged Zionists to behave reasonably. Amouei said that they are prepared to employ weapons that have never been used before.

Israel has been forewarned by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi that even the smallest move will provoke a harsh, protracted, and agonizing response. He blamed the tension in the region on the West's heedless backing of the Zionist regime and threatened to retaliate violently against any move that targeted Iranian interests. Following years of world anxiety over Iran's nuclear capability, many threats have been made.

The Obama-era Iran Nuclear Deal stipulated a cap on the amount of uranium that Iran might possess, but the Islamic Republic of Iran possesses much more. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Tehran's stockpile exceeded the agreed-upon limit by more than 20 times. Iran has enriched uranium to a purity of up to 60%, which is nearly weapons-grade and sufficient to make three atomic bombs, the UN said.

The National Union for Democracy in Iran claims that Iran's centrifuge capacity and stockpile of enriched uranium can build seven nuclear bombs in a month. Russia is giving Iran's spy satellites technical help, modern fighter jets, air defense technologies, anti-aircraft missiles, and drones. Additional agreements may include helping Iran manufacture rockets, expanding the country's supply of spy satellites, and reconstructing its air force.

Rumor has it that Iran is lobbying for Russian anti-aircraft launchers, which are supposed to be able to take down stealth fighter planes. In return, Iran promised to arm Moscow with missiles and drones in 2022 as part of its military campaign against Ukraine. Russia has consented to purchase anti-drone defense systems and other military hardware from Iran for $2 billion.

More than 600 jet-powered drones, which can fly 400 miles per hour, have been marketed by Iran; this is three times faster than Iranian drones from the past. The UN cautions Iran and Israel against taking revenge. Israel must retaliate against Iran for firing hundreds of missiles and suicide drones into Israeli airspace, according to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Only a few ballistic missiles managed to reach Israel, while neither drones nor cruise missiles made contact with the country.
