Anthony Joshua stopped Otto Wallin with a fifth-round technical knockout and Joseph Parker stunned Deontay Wilder in a unanimous decision in a heavyweight doubleheader at the Kingdom Arena on Saturday night.
The doubleheader was expected to set up a March bout between Wilder and Joshua.

Amid the upcoming 'Day of Reckoning' boxing event in Riyadh, both Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have reportedly agreed to sign contracts for their deal that was already in place. Initial reports suggested last week that they wouldn't agree to fight if any of them lost against their respective opponents.

The boxing world is shaping up for one of the most important events of the year, billed as 'Judgment Day', as several former heavyweight champions including Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder step back into the ring on Saturday.
It is anticipated the event could set the stage for another epic showdown between Joshua and Wilder in 2024, should both fighters emerge victorious from their respective bouts.
For now, the former two-time heavyweight champion will have to put those aspirations on hold as he turns his attention to facing the experienced Wallin.

According to ESPN, the result from those fights will be crucial for a deal that is reportedly already in place. It all points at a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder already in the works. But before that fight takes place, both of these stars need to win on December 23.
