After the Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic fight was called off due to a serious injury, the main event became Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira for the Light Heavyweight title at UFC 295. Every time these MMA stars get inside the octagon, people want to know how much money they are getting from the purse, pay-per-view sales and potential fight of the night bonus.

Prochazka vs Pereira is the fight that is potentially getting the most money from the UFC after the event is over. But people want to know exact numbers in order to get a better idea of what they can expect. Contrary to boxing, UFC purses are only a fraction and the overall purse gets divided between all the fighters who put their life on the line during the event. Let's take a look at how much these two main event stars are getting and who is getting paid more.

Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka, who is getting paid more?

Despite having a much shorter fighitng record than his opponent, Alex Pereira is currently valued higher than Jiri Prochazka. According to Inside Sport, the Brazilian star who holds an 8-2-0 record is getting paid $900k with the PPV saled included. Where as the Czech samurai is getting paid $700k with PPV sales included. That odes not count the potential fight of the night bonus, which is still only $50,000 per fighter if Dana White selects them from the bunch. President Dana White hasn't changed the amounts he pays too much since the UFC started getting into every corner of the world.

Although these purses don't seem like much compared to other sports, UFC president Dana White does allowhis fighters to have sponsors that he previously approves. What he doesn't allow them to do is compete in different sports unless they are Conor McGregor, the UFC star who has made Dana White and the UFC the most money in the company's history. But people like Pereira and Prochazka are still quite low in the ladder and they still have a long way to climb. Should 'Poatan' win his next fight, he will be crossing that $1 million per fight threshold the next time he gets into that octagon.
