In case you were not aware, UFC 292 is taking place at Boston's TD Garden next Saturday and the main event is wildly expected. The banthamweight division has a title fight between the champion Aljemain Sterling vs Suga Sean O'Malley. A bout that also has a second title fight in the women's division between Zhang Weili and Amanda Lemos.

But the big event of the evening will be between Sean and Sterling. Suga is known for his precise striking and plasticity as he moves inside the octagon. But he has been honing some important grappling skills by winning actual jiu jitsu tournaments with no-gi on. He decided to get into this tournament last week and defeated a major opponent in the tournament.

Conor McGregor is a personality that divides opinion, and even those who have worked with him closely at times are yet to fully decide just what kind of person the Irishman is.

One such individual is UFC chief, Dana White, who has been known to have a rather up-and-down relationship with the Irish icon.

Be it at the negotiating table or even in public comments, the two have never fully been able to live harmoniously for long periods of time, yet a possible rivalry has been stoked yet further by a rather public snub from White to McGregor.

As part of a discussion with Mike Tyson, White was asked to name his five greatest UFC stars, yet somehow missed off the name of the Irishman, who remains one of the most decorated champions in the company's history.

The highly anticipated return of Conor McGregor to the UFC octagon remains uncertain as the Irishman missed the USADA deadline, casting doubt on his potential matchup with Michael Chandler. Amid the uncertainty, former UFC superstar Nate Diaz has weighed in on the situation, offering his insights on McGregor's potential opponents and expressing doubts about the Chandler fight.

During a recent interview with All Out Fighting, Nate Diaz confidently stated that Conor McGregor would easily defeat Michael Chandler if the fight were to happen. However, Diaz also expressed skepticism about the matchup actually materializing, raising questions about who McGregor could face instead.

The highly anticipated boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul is just a week away, set to take place on August 5 in Dallas, Texas.

However, ticket sales and PPV purchases for the event at the American Airlines Center have been sluggish, leading to worries about potential piracy viewership

Despite this, Diaz remains unconcerned and is solely focused on humiliating Paul for accusing him of not doing enough to promote the fight.

Despite speculation about Conor McGregor's return to UFC action this year, the fighter won't return to the octagon until 2024.

This was confirmed by Audie Attar, the representative of one of the UFC's biggest stars, as they don't want to force a comeback and want to do everything the right way.

McGregor's return is almost a done deal, although it has not been confirmed when or against whom, but it has not happened because the fighter must be on the USADA lists for at least six months before returning to action.

Right now, the Irishman is not yet registered. Thus, his return cannot happen this year.

"One of the things everybody forgets is that Conor was one of the most tested athletes when he was competing, and we're going about things the right way," Attar told MMA Junkie.
