Katherine Heigl is getting back into the spotlight.
And she's doing it for a good reason. On March 8, the Grey's Anatomy alum attended her first public event in two years to benefit Florida's Big Dog Ranch House.
Katherine wore a bright knee-length dress with a blue, green, and purple pattern to the Wine, Women, and Shoes fundraiser event in Palm Beach, Florida. She paired the dress with blue heels, a yellow purse, and a stylish, voluminous updo.
While the 47-year-old enjoyed snuggling with the puppies in attendance, she had an even more significant plus one: her mother, Nancy Heigl, stood by her side, dressed in a beautiful beige ensemble. Nancy, too, cuddled a dog near to her, and Katherine posed for a photo together.
Katherine's attendance at the benefit is her first significant public appearance since early 2024. After all, the 27 Dresses star—who has three children with husband Josh
Kelley: Naleigh, 16; Adalaide, 13; and Joshua, 8—and her family moved to Utah several years ago in search of a more relaxed lifestyle.
"I have found and carved out this peace for myself and for my family, and it brings me so much joy, contentment, clarity, and grounding," she told E! News in April, adding that if she ever pondered returning to Hollywood, "I just think, 'Why mess with that?'"
