Czech Republic beauty won the competition held in India

Krystyna Pyszkova, the striking beauty from the Czech Republic, clinched the coveted title of Miss World 2024, amidst the glitz and glamour of the prestigious event held in Mumbai, India, this past Saturday.

Notably, this edition marks the 2023 installment of the world's second-largest beauty pageant, initially slated for 2023 in the United Arab Emirates.

The final scene of the Miss Universe 2023 pageant generated controversy on social media, where the reaction of Miss Thailand when she heard that Miss Nicaragua had won was disrespectful.

In total 84 countries attempted to win the competition but only one could do so and it went to Sheynnis Palacios from the Central American nation at the competition held in El Salvador, also in Central America.

Tatjana Patitz, one of an elite group of famed supermodels who graced magazine covers in the 1980s and ’90s and appeared in George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90” music video, has died at age 56.

Patitz’s death in the Santa Barbara, California, area was confirmed by her New York agent, Corinne Nicolas, at the Model CoOp agency. Nicolas said the cause was illness, but did not have further details.
