With their two kids, Freddie-George and Delilah, former Love Island winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey may have had a fairly perfect life, but things weren't always that way. Cara recently disclosed on the MadebyMummas podcast that the couple actually broke up when she was pregnant with their first child.
Clara talked about how she and Nathan were hardly able to communicate at that time, saying, "We broke up as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Despite the fact that we were only together for business, we could not stand and detested one another. I would never put him out there in the press. Regarding her brief separation from her current spouse, Nathan Massey, Cara De La Hoyde has spoken up.
Following their 2016 Love Island victory, Cara and Nathan welcomed two children into their family.
"I would never imply that we weren't fond of one another. Anything you publish online stays there forever. Additionally, when they get older, your kids can read it. I started doing magazine interviews, appeared on This Morning, and was like, 'Oh, he's amazing; we're such good friends.'"
Cara and Nathan, who were previously in a relationship, had a brief split when Cara was pregnant with their first child. They had a strained relationship, with Nathan attending every baby scan and Cara not even acknowledging each other. After their son's birth in 2017, they rekindled their relationship, getting married in 2019 at Preston Court Barn in Canterbury. They welcomed their second child, Delilah, in 2020.
Cara, a mother of two, has revealed that having children has helped her manage her depression. She admitted to taking her happy pill daily, but her depression has not been as prevalent since having children. Cara believes that having children has filled a hole in her depression, and she has always wanted to be a mom. Motherhood has given her a proper purpose, and while she still suffers, she now has people to turn to for support. Cara's children have provided her with a sense of purpose and helped her cope with her depression. Although she sometimes wishes to be alone, having children has been beneficial
