Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles is now engaged! On Sunday, October 13, the 27-year-old athlete revealed in a heartfelt Instagram video that he proposed to his fiancée, fellow Olympian Junelle Bromfield, the day before.

Lyles shared a Reel captioned "To My Future Wife," set to a cover of Bobby Caldwell's classic song "What You Won't Do for Love," with the message, "I Will Love You Forever 💍." The video captured the couple, Bromfield dressed in a shimmering silver dress and heels and Lyles in a black suit with gold detailing, entering a beautifully decorated modern home. As they walked hand-in-hand, candles, flowers, and rose petals lined the path to the backyard, where a large heart-shaped arrangement of pink roses and a neon sign that read, "Will you marry me?" awaited them.

Bromfield shared her excitement in her own Instagram post, captioning it "ENGAGED💍🥺" alongside a clip of her showing off her engagement ring with her friends cheering on.

Lyles and Bromfield first met online in 2017, but their initial date didn't go as planned, leading them to remain friends. In 2022, Lyles, who clinched gold for Team USA in the men's 100-meter final at the Paris Olympics on August 4, took another shot at romance, and they've been inseparable ever since.

In June 2024, Lyles expressed his commitment on the Fast Lane Lifestyle podcast, saying, "We're going to grow old together, and it's going to be forever." The couple publicly announced their relationship on Instagram in December 2022 when Bromfield accompanied Lyles to the USATF Night of Legends celebration, where he received the Male Athlete of the Year Award. They each posted photos from their glamorous evening.

Marking their first anniversary in August 2023, Bromfield posted a sweet Instagram message: "Cheers to 7 years of friendship 🫂, 6 months of dating 🍽️, 1 year of being your partner 👩🏿‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏾, And to forever loving you ❤️🙏🏿."

During a March interview on the Inside Track podcast, Lyles reflected on the depth of his relationship with Bromfield, calling it his "best relationship ever." Bromfield shared that she was drawn to Lyles for his "brutal honesty," a trait that made their bond even stronger.

For Lyles, this mutual understanding and acceptance solidified his feelings. "I already liked you, but hearing that makes me think, 'I need this woman in my life,'" he shared. "It's the kind of love where you know you'll grow old together, and it'll be forever. She's the woman I want to raise my kids with."
