In a candid revelation on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" ,Anna Kendrick, 39, detailed an unexpected Halloween adventure with fellow "Pitch Perfect" co-star Brittany Snow that took an interesting turn at a 2023 party.

During her appearance promoting her Netflix directorial debut "Woman of the Hour," Kendrick recounted her first experience with mushroom microdosing, which quickly became more intense than anticipated. "That's the night that I learned that chocolate is not a great delivery system for mushrooms," Kendrick explained, describing how an unevenly mixed chocolate bar led to what she called a "real macrodose" rather than the intended micro-experience.

The situation took a heartwarming turn when Snow, 38, demonstrated true friendship by joining Kendrick in her altered state. "My hero friend realized that I was tripping balls and decided to take a bunch more mushrooms," Kendrick shared, leading to what she described as the two of them "grinning like the Joker while streaming tears" all this happened while in a corner at the party.

Anna offered a glimpse into  the deep bond between the "Pitch Perfect" cast members, which she recently elaborated on in a "Call Her Daddy" interview. "We didn't choose each other... we're so bonded," she reflected, comparing their relationship to family. This connection has remained strong since their first collaboration in the 2012 hit musical comedy.

Her encounter joins a series about major  celebrity experiences with psychedelics, following Michael Bublé's February 2024 NHL All-Star Game press conference joke about mushroom microdosing. However, Kendrick was quick to add a responsible disclaimer to her story, responding to Colbert's query about legality with an entertainment-purposes-only caveat and a clear message: "Learn from my mistakes, kids. Don't do drugs."
