Johnny Depp is embracing a fresh chapter in his career with the release of his directorial feature, Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, a biographical drama that premiered at the Rome Film Festival. Despite being unable to attend the event due to a delayed flight, Depp was slated to present the film, pick up an award, and later fly out.

The film, set in Paris during World War I, follows Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani over three intense days and stars Al Pacino, Stephen Graham, and others. According to IMDb, Modi depicts Modigliani's struggle to navigate the chaotic world around him as he seeks a haven for his art.

Depp's return to the spotlight comes after a tumultuous period in his personal life, marked by a highly publicized legal battle and divorce from Amber Heard, which involved allegations of domestic abuse. Reflecting on this in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Depp shared that he bears no "ill feelings toward anyone" despite the intense scrutiny.

He described how he went through an emotional whirlwind but emerged with a sense of acceptance: "Honestly, I can sit here this very second and think about all the hit pieces and how everybody was against me... I remember it all. Went through it all. Some of it was not the most beautiful time, some of it was hilarious, some of it was mad. The thing is, it simply just was."

He elaborated on his resilience, explaining that the ordeal taught him important lessons. "Everything that we experience, whether you're given a snow cone or walking your dog, you learn something somewhere along the way," Depp stated. He clarified that he harbors no hatred, as "hatred requires caring. Why carry that baggage?" Depp has embraced this experience as a part of his journey, emphasizing that he prefers to leave the past behind and move forward without resentment.

When asked if he uses a specific method to remain focused on his work, Depp responded, "Oh yes, of course, it is my responsibility. But it is also helpful in certain instances, especially when things are crumbling all around." He noted that embodying a character provides a unique form of relief, allowing him to channel personal experiences as a creative outlet.
