Ryan Reynolds recently offered clarity on Taylor Swift's close connection to his family, confirming that the pop star holds a special role as the godmother to his daughters, James, Inez, and Betty. In an interview with Deadline on November 13, Reynolds said, "She is the godparent to my daughters," humorously adding, "I need that one on my gravestone actually."

Swift had previously mentioned this honorary title in July, sparking excitement among fans. She shared on Instagram that she's the godmother to Reynolds and Blake Lively's daughters while encouraging fans to watch Reynolds's upcoming film, Deadpool & Wolverine. She praised the movie, saying, "He's created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich." Swift affectionately referred to Reynolds as her "godkids' sperm donor," displaying their playful friendship.

Highlighting the support between the families, Reynolds and Lively attended Swift's Eras Tour concert in New Orleans. A TikTok video showed the couple enjoying the show together, with Lively donning friendship bracelets and Reynolds standing close by. Reflecting on the concert, Reynolds later posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, saying, "The main reason I'll never forget this show is because it brings people together in so many ways." He described the concert experience as both "gigantic but intimate," calling it "an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon" that is rare in today's world.

Beyond social media, Swift's influence is also seen in Reynolds's film promotion. In his interview, Reynolds acknowledged the reach of her shout-out, humorously suggesting it could even boost the movie's box office. He commented, "That was very sweet...you can probably quantify a box office based on Taylor just doing something like that."
