Josh Hall's attempt to become Christina Haack's third spouse was unsuccessful. Christina actually disclosed how issues in her relationship before their 2024 split were caused by her ex's jealousy of her previous husband, Tarek El Moussa.
The Christina on the Coast actress broke down in tears as she announced the news of her divorce to Tarek at the launch of her and Tarek's new home renovation reality competition series, The Flip Off. She also revealed fresh information about the reasons behind their tense breakup.
Christina, who has a son, Hudson, 5, with her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, and children Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, with Tarek, told her ex, "You make him very insecure," during the Jan. 29 episode. "Whenever we played soccer, we hardly ever joked, or if I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for two or three days. I would get the silent treatment."
Josh became so enraged that he started calling names.
He doesn't like me," Christina recalled. He accuses me of being arrogant. We both know that I'm not cocky or arrogant and that I just work, yet he believes that I am.
After being taken aback by the 41-year-old's devastating admission, Tarek gave her encouraging words to help her through her difficult period.
In a charming manner, the 43-year-old told her, "You're not any of those things." "He is projecting. You're a wonderful daughter and mother. You are a wonderful person.
Even additional information about how Josh's fears affected their relationship until they formally ended it last summer after two years of marriage was provided by Christina at another point in the episode.
In a confessional, she remembered, "My name was still Christina El Moussa on everything when I met Josh." "Josh did not like that, and he was all about me becoming a Hall."
Additionally, the strained dynamics between Josh, Christina, Tarek, and Tarek's wife Heather Rae El Moussa were evident during a very unpleasant car ride that exposed cracks in their marriage when Tarek attempted to instill Christina's competitive attitude.
The 44-year-old admonished the interior designer, "You have to give it your all because this is a competition." "I'll do whatever it takes to win. Halls is in charge. You're expected to express your support for me by saying it aloud, repeating it, or doing anything similar. Recall that you are now a Hall. Don't lose track of your name during this competition."

In a confessional, she said, "He's been a bit moody lately." "Josh knows that Tarek and I have a history, and I'm sure some of it is the stress of the competition."
