Vanna White, the longtime co-host of Wheel of Fortune, has left fans stunned after revealing just how few days she actually spends filming the hit game show. During a recent interview on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, White shared that she only works 34 days a year.

"We film about 34 days a year. That's it," White told host Elvis Duran. "But [we film] six shows a day. Come on, you could feel bad for me." However, her attempt to gain sympathy didn't land, as Duran jokingly responded, "I do not feel sorry for you one bit. That sounds like a great job."

Co-host Danielle Monaro also chimed in, pointing out that White has to change outfits multiple times in a single day. "That's six different dresses a day," Monaro noted, to which White confirmed, "It is." Despite realizing that her schedule leaves her with 331 days off, the 68-year-old admitted, "I've never looked at it like that."

White, who has co-hosted Wheel of Fortune for over four decades, has seen significant changes in her role. Reflecting on the technological advancements in the game, she explained, "First I physically turned the letters. Then I went to touching the letters. Now, a couple of years ago, they changed the set where honestly I don't even have to touch the letter." She further elaborated, "There's a laser, and the motion of my hand that gets near the letter, it will light up."

Despite her reduced workload, White's salary has significantly increased over the years. In 2023, following the retirement of her longtime co-host Pat Sajak, she renegotiated her contract and secured a pay raise from $3 million to $10 million annually, extending her tenure through the 2025-26 season.

White admitted that she briefly considered leaving the show after Sajak announced his retirement. "It's like, 'Well, wait, if you're leaving, what am I going to do? How can I stay without you?'" she told People in October 2023. However, she ultimately decided to stay. "I thought about it, and I'm not ready to retire, so I am staying on."

Now sharing the stage with new host Ryan Seacrest, White continues to embrace her role on the beloved game show. "This is a half-hour of family fun and escape from so much," she said. "It's such a positive family show. I love being part of that."
