After three seasons, Crystal Kung Minkoff bids a "bittersweet" farewell to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, marking the end of her trailblazing tenure as the first Asian-American housewife on the iconic reality series.

In an Instagram video shared on Monday, Minkoff conveyed her departure, expressing gratitude for the unexpected opportunity. "I just wanted to share the news that I will not be coming back to film Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," she revealed. "It's very bittersweet. Never did I think I would've been asked to do this show in a million years — let alone film it for three seasons."
Acknowledging the significance of her role, Minkoff reflected on the weight of being the inaugural Asian American on the Beverly Hills installment. "Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor. Being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills was a lot of weight on my shoulders that I have since just really understood the magnitude of what that meant for people," she shared.
Expressing gratitude to her supportive audience, Minkoff touched on the personal struggles she bravely shared on the show, including her battle with an eating disorder and her father's Alzheimer's diagnosis.
Yet, Minkoff assures fans that this departure isn't a permanent farewell but rather a "see you soon," hinting at forthcoming endeavors. "This is not goodbye, this is see you soon. I have some other things going on that I will be sharing with you soon," she teased.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Minkoff is the founder of Real Coco, a company specializing in coconut products. Her husband, Rob Minkoff, co-directed the original The Lion King. Together, they are parents to two children.
As the cast for the upcoming 14th season remains unconfirmed by Bravo, fans speculate on potential additions, with Bette Midler notably expressing interest in joining the renowned ensemble.
Crystal Kung Minkoff's departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the Real Housewives saga, but her impact as a pioneering figure within the franchise will undoubtedly endure.
