Francia Raisa has opened up about her recent health challenges affecting her reproductive system. The 35-year-old How I Met Your Father star took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 26, to share a heartfelt message alongside a carousel of photos. In her post, she revealed receiving a new diagnosis alongside her existing PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), which may impact her ability to carry a child.

"I've been very transparent about my health journey, particularly with my PCOS. However, things took a serious turn recently," Raisa wrote in her caption. After years of seeking answers from multiple doctors and specialists, she discovered additional health issues. "I've been diagnosed with SIBO and endometriosis, conditions that significantly increase my risk of experiencing complicated pregnancies in the future. It was a shock," she admitted.

Expressing her frustration with the lack of sufficient research in women's health care, Raisa emphasized the importance of understanding how these conditions affect women like herself striving for a healthy life and family. She also addressed her concerns about the ongoing attacks on women's reproductive rights, applauding Vice President Kamala Harris for inviting her to discuss these issues in Arizona.

Raisa's advocacy and openness about her health challenges, including her decision to freeze her eggs in 2021, reflect her determination to prioritize her well-being and future family planning despite the complexities she faces.

In August 2023, Raisa publicly disclosed her PCOS diagnosis, a condition that can lead to irregular menstrual cycles and other health risks. She joins other celebrities like Bebe Rexha, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, and Romee Strijd in raising awareness about this common yet often misunderstood disorder.

Through her candid revelations and advocacy efforts, Raisa continues to inspire conversations about women's health and reproductive freedoms, highlighting the need for more inclusive and comprehensive medical research and support.
