Actor Nick Pasqual has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend, Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn, multiple times. The incident occurred on May 23 at Shehorn's Los Angeles home.
Pasqual faces one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison. Shehorn had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual, highlighting the severity of their relationship issues.
At 4:30 a.m. on May 23, Pasqual allegedly broke into Shehorn's home and stabbed her multiple times. The attack caused significant bodily injury and involved domestic violence. Pasqual personally used a knife during the crime. After the stabbing, he fled the scene but was later detained at a U.S./Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
Shehorn underwent multiple surgeries for her injuries and spent several days in intensive care. The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating the case, and Pasqual will be transported to Los Angeles County to face charges.
District Attorney George Gascón expressed sympathy for the victim and emphasized the dangers of domestic violence. He stated, "This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions".
Our thoughts are with Allie Shehorn as she embarks on the difficult journey of healing from both physical and emotional trauma. The case serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of addressing domestic violence and supporting victims.
