Bruce Springsteen is proving once again why he's called The Boss. This summer, the rock legend is set to unleash over 80 previously unheard tracks in his newly announced "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" collection. Fans have long speculated about the existence of Springsteen's secret recordings, and now, they're finally getting the chance to dive into a musical treasure trove that spans decades of his career.

Scheduled for release on June 27, the seven-album collection features songs recorded between 1983 and 2018, with some albums nearly completed but never officially released. According to Springsteen, the pandemic played a major role in the collection's creation. During lockdown, he decided to go through his vault and finish everything he had left behind, leading to the completion of these long-lost records.

"Some of these were full records," Springsteen revealed. "Some of them even got mixed, but for one reason or another, they just never came out. I've played these songs for myself and close friends for years, and now, I'm excited to finally share them."

As a preview of what's to come, Springsteen has already dropped a brand-new single, "Rain In The River," which comes from the lost album Perfect World. The other albums in the collection include LA Garage Sessions '83, Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, Faithless, Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, and Twilight Hours.

The collection offers an eclectic mix of styles, showcasing Springsteen's ability to evolve while staying true to his signature sound. From heartland rock anthems to orchestral compositions and country-inspired storytelling, each album provides a unique glimpse into different phases of his career.

Springsteen credits the ability to record at home as a key reason why these songs exist, stating, "Being able to record whenever I wanted gave me the freedom to explore different musical directions."

The timing couldn't be better. Springsteen is set to embark on the European leg of his tour with the E Street Band in May, kicking things off in Manchester and wrapping up in Milan in July. With this new collection, his fans will have plenty of fresh material to enjoy while they wait for his next big move.
