2016: AlphaGo vs. Lee Sedol: Deepmind’s AlphaGo defeated world champion Go Player Lee Sedol, demonstrating the potential of deep reinforcement learning in mastering complex games. 2020: GPT-3: OpenAI released GPT-3, the largest and most powerful language model at the time, capable of generating human-like text across a wide range of tasks, marketing a significant milestone in natural language processing.
