A woman arrested last month in Florida with drugs in her possession blamed the wind for the cocaine found in her purse.

26-year-old Kennecia Posey was stopped by Fort Pierce police on 21st March whilst trying to swerve with another passenger in a car.

www.local10.com reports that an officer who approached the car smelled marijuana in the car and during a search, the officer found cocaine and marijuana in separate bags in a purse lying on Posey's lap.

According to police, Posey admitted that the marijuana was hers but had a different story to tell about the cocaine.

She told the officer that, "I don't know anything about any cocaine,".

"It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse," she added

Posey who was booked into the county jail on one felony count of cocaine possession and a misdemeanour count of marijuana possession, was later released on bond.
