Charli D'Amelio made a stylish appearance at the desert festival and showed clear support for fellow creator turned singer Addison Rae during her second weekend performance at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Rae, 25, returned to the stage on Saturday, April 18, delivering another high energy set that drew attention from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Among those watching from the crowd was D'Amelio, 21, who did not hold back her excitement. She took to Instagram Stories to praise Rae's performance, writing "Superstar are you kidding?" and adding playful emojis while tagging her friend. Rae performed in a bold pink lingerie inspired outfit that added to the buzz around her set.
D'Amelio had already been showing support even before Rae stepped on stage. A day earlier, she shared a TikTok video of herself enjoying the festival atmosphere in a lace trimmed Chloé mini dress. In the clip, she danced by a pool while lip syncing to Rae's track "Fame Is a Gun," tagging the singer in the caption. Rae quickly responded in the comments with an enthusiastic "The girl!!!!!!!" signaling mutual admiration between the two.
Both D'Amelio and Rae first gained massive followings on TikTok and were members of the Hype House, a content collective that helped launch several internet personalities into mainstream fame. D'Amelio left the group in May 2020 and later expanded her career into television and stage, including winning season 31 of Dancing with the Stars and performing on Broadway in & Juliet.
Rae also moved on from the collective and successfully transitioned into music. She has since built a strong presence in the pop scene, earning a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2026. Fellow Hype House founder Alex Warren was also nominated in the same category.
Although there were past rumors of tension between the two, their recent interactions suggest otherwise. D'Amelio previously used Rae's music in a post ahead of the Tony Awards, and Rae responded warmly, even resharing the clip. Their continued public support reflects a friendship that has endured beyond their early social media days.
