Blake Lively's legal fight with Justin Baldoni may have reached a settlement, but the case is still continuing in court.
According to new court filings, Lively is seeking financial damages following the settlement tied to their It Ends With Us dispute.
The actress is asking for attorney fees, legal costs and punitive damages connected to what her legal team described as a retaliatory defamation lawsuit.
Her attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, called the settlement "a resounding victory for Blake Lively." They also claimed Baldoni and the other defendants "abused the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms. Lively."
The dispute first began in December 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and several others, accusing them of retaliation after she raised allegations of sexual harassment during production of It Ends With Us.
Baldoni denied the accusations and later filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds and others.
That countersuit was later dismissed by a judge, although some of Lively's claims were also thrown out earlier this year.
Even after the settlement, both sides are still presenting the outcome differently.
Lively's lawyers argued the agreement proved her concerns "deserved to be heard" and said her mission from the beginning was to "expose and hold accountable those who weaponize smear campaigns and retaliatory lawsuits."
Baldoni's attorney Bryan Freedman pushed back against that version of events, calling the outcome "a win and total victory for the Wayfarer parties." He also argued that most of Lively's claims had already been dismissed before the settlement was reached.
Before the agreement, the case had been heading toward a major trial that was expected to start later this month.
Despite the ongoing court drama, Lively has continued appearing publicly, including at the 2026 Met Gala shortly after the settlement became public.
