President Donald Trump's eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, is preparing for a major milestone as she graduates from The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida, on May 15, just days after celebrating her 19th birthday. While politics runs deep in her family, Kai is carving out a path of her own through golf, a sport she has pursued with growing dedication over the years.

Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his former wife Vanessa Trump, will attend the University of Miami this fall, where she is set to compete on the school's women's golf team. According to sources close to the family, the teenager has become increasingly serious about the sport and is focused on developing her talent at the collegiate level.

One source from Jupiter, Florida, said Kai has shown strong discipline and determination in her golfing journey, adding that she is committed to seeing how far she can go in the sport. Having grown up around golf thanks to her grandfather's passion for the game and ownership of numerous golf courses worldwide, Kai has spent years immersed in the golfing environment.

After relocating from New York to Florida at age 13, she reportedly flourished as a player and benefited from access to experienced golfers who frequent Trump-owned courses. Those close to her believe the University of Miami will provide the coaching and competitive environment needed to further elevate her game.

The Miami women's golf team recently finished 10th at the 2026 ACC Championships, and Kai is eager to contribute when she joins the squad later this year. Sources say she was impressed by both the program and the campus, while also appreciating the fact that Miami keeps her close to home and near Trump National Doral.

Kai's connection to golf also extends through her mother's relationship with golf icon Tiger Woods. Vanessa Trump and Woods publicly confirmed their relationship in 2025 after months of private dating. Tiger's son Charlie Woods, who also attends The Benjamin School and is regarded as a talented golfer, has committed to Florida State University beginning in 2027, setting up a future collegiate rivalry between the two young athletes.

Outside the course, Kai has developed a growing online presence through social media and video content. Earlier this year, one of her vlogs gained widespread attention online. Despite enjoying content creation, sources close to her say golf remains her true passion.

Kai has also hinted at building her own brand in the future, though for now, her focus remains firmly on golf and the opportunities ahead at Miami.
