Victoria Beckham has admitted she spent much of her life battling feelings of self-doubt, but says turning 50 has brought her a new sense of acceptance.

Speaking to The Times, the former Spice Girl and fashion designer, 52, reflected: "I've spent my whole life feeling that I'm not good enough. The great thing about getting older is caring less about what other people think." She added that while she spent years "not liking how I look," she now "accepts" herself.

Beckham stressed that age doesn't mean giving up. "That doesn't mean you have to compromise. You can still look good," she said, noting that she works out harder now than she did in her twenties and thirties. "Just because you're older doesn't mean you're limited in what you can do. You can achieve great things as you get older."

In a separate sit-down with The Sunday Times Style, Beckham discussed her approach to beauty and ageing. She dismissed the term "anti-ageing" as "a good marketing line," adding: "I don't believe that anything topical can stop the ageing process. I think it's quite negative." Instead, she focuses on health and fitness: "I just want to be the best version of myself. I want to be healthy, I want to be fit, and that's about it."

The mother of four also shared lighter moments, recalling how her daughter Harper compared her to Joy from Inside Out, while joking that husband David was "the little red angry man" in the mornings.

Looking back on her career, Beckham reflected on her evolution from pop star to designer and beauty entrepreneur. As she celebrated her 50th birthday in April 2024, she described feeling blessed, accomplished, and content, embracing the milestone with confidence.
