Singer and model Cassie Ventura has revealed that she has permanently relocated outside the United States, offering new insight into her life following the highly publicized legal battles involving music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.
The disclosure emerged through court documents connected to an ongoing lawsuit filed by Clayton Howard, a former sex worker who brought legal action against Ventura and Combs in 2025. The case relates to allegations involving events that Howard claims occurred during his interactions with the pair.
In documents submitted by Ventura's legal team, the singer stated that although she remains a United States citizen, she no longer resides in California or anywhere else within the country. She further indicated that she has no plans to return permanently.
The revelation marks a significant development for Ventura, who has spent much of her public life in the American entertainment industry. Over the years, she became widely recognized through her music career and her long relationship with Combs, which attracted substantial media attention.
The court filing also addressed practical concerns regarding the lawsuit. Ventura argued that if the case proceeds, New York would be a more convenient venue than California because her attorneys are based there and none of the parties involved currently reside in California.
The legal dispute comes amid continuing fallout from allegations made against Combs. Ventura's previous accusations against the music executive sparked intense public scrutiny and contributed to a broader wave of legal challenges facing him.
As part of a separate motion seeking dismissal of Howard's lawsuit, Ventura's legal team referenced a message allegedly sent by Howard to her husband, Alex Fine, in 2023. According to the filing, the message expressed support for Ventura and acknowledged the credibility of her claims against Combs.
The singer's decision to establish her life outside the United States appears to reflect a desire for stability and privacy following years of public attention. Together with Fine and their three children, Ventura has focused on building a family life away from the spotlight.
While she has remained relatively private in recent years, her name continues to surface in legal proceedings connected to Combs and others involved in related cases. These developments have ensured continued public interest in her personal and professional circumstances.
For Ventura, the latest court documents provide a rare glimpse into a new chapter defined less by celebrity and more by family, personal recovery and life beyond the intense scrutiny that once surrounded her career.
