Joe Jonas is opening up about life as a father and his coparenting relationship with ex-wife Sophie Turner, revealing just how much their two daughters have shaped his outlook following their split.

During a recent episode of the Hey Jonas! podcast alongside his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas, the singer reflected on raising daughters Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, while navigating life after divorce.

"I'm a single dad and I coparent with my children's mother," Joe said. "I think my children have given me purpose again in my life."

The 36-year-old musician spoke candidly about the impact fatherhood has had on him, explaining that his daughters help him stay grounded even during difficult moments.

"They've really given me the reason to be alive, I would say," he shared. "I think, in my saddest moments, I'm able to be reminded quickly that a hug from them can solve the world's problems in my own world."

Joe also expressed appreciation for the support system around him, particularly Turner, as they continue to raise their children together despite ending their marriage.

"There's a lot of people in my situation that are single parents and go through this, and I'm grateful that I have a co-parent that I can balance even the bad days," he said. "But I think being able to have good people around me to kind of help me navigate it is really special."

The former couple announced their separation in September 2023 after four years of marriage. At the time, they released a joint statement saying they had "mutually decided to amicably" end their relationship.

Their split was followed by a highly publicized custody dispute, which was eventually resolved. In 2024, they finalized their divorce and agreed to share custody of their daughters between homes in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Since then, both have publicly emphasized their commitment to putting their children first. Turner previously described Joe as "a great father" and said the pair were doing "the best we can" as coparents.

For Joe, fatherhood continues to be a driving force in both his personal and professional life.

"The reason I do what I do now" is because of his daughters, he said, explaining that working hard while apart from them makes the time they spend together even more meaningful.

Reflecting on the lessons they've taught him, Joe added, "I think they've taught me that I'll be OK even in my toughest days."
