Country music legend Alan Jackson’s final concert event is set to receive a major television spotlight, with NBC announcing that his farewell performance will be filmed for a special titled Alan Jackson: The Last Show.

The concert, scheduled for June 29 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, marks the culmination of Jackson’s celebrated career and will serve as a farewell to fans who have followed his music journey for decades. NBC confirmed the special on Thursday, although the network has not yet revealed an exact premiere date. The program is expected to air later in 2026 before becoming available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

The special will be directed by Sam Wrench, one of the entertainment industry’s most sought after concert filmmakers. Wrench is best known for directing the blockbuster concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and has also worked on projects involving artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli and Mumford & Sons. His involvement is expected to bring a cinematic touch to Jackson’s final performance.

Although NBC’s announcement did not specify any guest appearances, the farewell concert itself is being promoted as a star studded event. Seventeen artists are currently scheduled to participate in the show, including Lainey Wilson, George Strait, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett and Lee Ann Womack. Their presence reflects the enormous respect Jackson commands across generations of country music artists.

The concert has been titled Last Call: One More for the Road The Finale and has already sold out, highlighting the enduring popularity of the country music icon. The event will also be one of the first major productions from Joan of Arc StudioWorks, the newly formed company led by former UMG Nashville CEO Cindy Mabe. Joan of Arc StudioWorks will produce the special alongside EverWonder Studios.

Jackson’s farewell comes after he performed his final regular touring show on May 17, 2025, which concluded his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour. The singer announced in 2021 that he had been living with Charcot Marie Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition that affects movement and balance. He revealed that he had been dealing with the condition for more than a decade. The disease causes nerve damage, particularly in the arms and legs, and can make walking increasingly difficult.

Now 67 years old, Jackson leaves behind one of the most influential careers in country music history. A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, he became one of the genre’s defining stars throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Known for championing traditional country music, Jackson earned widespread admiration from both fans and fellow artists.

Over the course of his career, he won 17 Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year honors in 1995, 2002 and 2003. He also collected 22 Academy of Country Music Awards and achieved 26 number one hits on the Billboard charts.

As country music prepares to bid farewell to one of its most respected voices, Alan Jackson: The Last Show promises to capture an emotional and historic night celebrating the life, music and legacy of a true country music icon.
