Kim Kardashian's appearance at the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday sparked a wave of online debate after she appeared to ignore Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle during his signature "grid walk."
Brundle is known for approaching celebrities and drivers for quick chats before races. When he greeted Kim and asked how she was doing, she looked away without responding. A member of her entourage leaned in to speak with her as Brundle tried again, asking if she was enjoying the race weekend. Kim smiled, waved, but did not answer, before walking off with Khloé Kardashian and their group. Brundle, sounding disappointed, told viewers, "So, we're not talking today."
The clip quickly went viral, drawing sharp criticism from fans who labeled Kim "rude" and accused her of showing a "lack of class." Social media users argued that celebrities should not appear on the grid if they refuse interviews, with one writing that she "has no place on our grid." Others described her behavior as "embarrassing" and "entitled."
At the same time, many defended Kim, pointing out that guests are under no obligation to stop for interviews in the chaotic, high-security environment of the grid. Some suggested she may not have heard Brundle clearly over the noise, while others argued she was deliberately avoiding attention to keep the focus on the race. Supporters noted that partners of drivers are rarely expected to participate in interviews, and some accused Brundle of intentionally creating drama.
Neither Kim nor Khloé has publicly addressed the incident. The sisters arrived in Monaco in coordinating outfits, joining the glamorous race-day scene of yachts, engines, and celebrity sightings. Cameras also captured Lewis Hamilton, who has been linked romantically to Kim since February, appearing to blow her a kiss from the podium.
Their appearance comes as Kim and Hamilton continue to make their relationship more visible, having been spotted together at several events in recent months.
