British comedian and actor, Russell Brand, has pleaded not guilty to fresh charges of rape and sexual assault.

The 50-year-old, who is based in Florida, appeared at Southwark Crown Court this morning to deny the offences, which relate to alleged incidents in 2009.

He is alleged to have raped a woman sometime between February 7 and March 1 and to have sexually assaulted another between August 31 and December 1.

Brand, who flew back from the US for the hearing, spoke only to confirm his name and to enter his not guilty pleas from the dock.

He is due to face trial later this year in relation to the charges.

He arrived at Southwark Crown Court this morning in a black Mercedes-Benz, wearing a white wide-brimmed hat, a tiger-print shirt open to the midriff, pinstripe trousers, and a large grey overcoat.

Supermodel Bella Hadid is opening up about the emotional toll of stepping back from work during her Lyme disease treatment.

In a recent joint interview with her sister Gigi Hadid for Vogue Italia, Bella revealed that her health struggles forced her to decline nearly all professional opportunities for close to a year, a period she says deeply affected her sense of self.

"I was emotional because you feel disposable," Bella admitted, reflecting on the time she spent focusing on treatment instead of her fast-paced modeling career.

Tourette syndrome campaigner John Davidson has addressed the controversy that followed a disruption during the 2026 British Academy Film Awards.

The incident happened during the February 22 ceremony in London while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage presenting the Best Visual Effects award. From the audience, Davidson audibly shouted a racial slur, which he later said was caused by involuntary Tourette-related vocal tics.

In a statement issued the next day, Davidson said he was "deeply mortified if anyone considers my involuntary tics to be intentional or to carry any meaning." He stressed that the outburst was not reflective of his beliefs.

Davidson, 54, said he was grateful to BAFTA organizers for alerting the audience ahead of the ceremony about his condition. "I appreciated the announcement to the auditorium in advance of the recording, warning everyone that my tics are involuntary and are not a reflection of my personal beliefs," he said.

Demi Lovato is embracing what she calls a full circle moment as she teams up with Vanessa Hudgens for a new project.

The 33 year old singer has partnered with Caliwater, the beverage brand co founded by Hudgens, 37, and Oliver Trevena, to promote its new Blood Orange flavor. The collaboration brings together two performers who first found fame on Disney Channel. Lovato says it feels special to reconnect professionally after their early careers on the network. She shares that working with Hudgens has been fun and meaningful, especially considering their shared beginnings.

Hudgens rose to prominence as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical franchise, which debuted in 2006 and became a major success for Disney. Two years later, Lovato starred as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock, later returning for its 2010 sequel. With both franchises becoming cultural touchstones, some fans have long speculated about a rivalry between the casts.

Lovato, who is serving as an executive producer on the upcoming Camp Rock 3, says there was never any tension. In fact, she explains that the Camp Rock cast respected the High School Musical stars and saw them as trailblazers. According to Lovato, the earlier franchise helped establish musicals as a powerful format for Disney Channel, paving the way for projects like Camp Rock.

Although they shared similar career paths, this marks the first official collaboration between Lovato and Hudgens. Lovato says she has been a fan of Caliwater since its early days and is excited to support the brand. She highlights the benefits of cactus water, noting that it contains antioxidants, electrolytes, and strong hydrating properties.

With her upcoming It's Not That Deep Tour set to begin in April, staying hydrated is a priority. She believes the beverage will be especially helpful as she prepares for the demands of performing live.

As she gets ready for tour life, Lovato is beginning to think about her backstage rider. She plans to keep snacks on hand to maintain her energy and confirms that Caliwater will be included. She also intends to travel with a humidifier to protect her voice and keep it in peak condition. Laughing, she adds that her rider does not include any unusually specific requests.

For Lovato, the partnership is both practical and nostalgic, blending her current career with the roots that first introduced her to audiences.

The Met Gala 2026 is getting creative with its theme.

After all, Anna Wintour's annual fundraising gala, the "Costume Art" party, has announced that the dress code for this year's event is "Fashion Is Art."

"What connects every curatorial department and every single gallery in the museum is fashion, or the dressed body," Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Costume Institute—the beneficiary of the annual gala—said in a statement about the theme, according to Vogue. "It's the common thread throughout the whole museum, which is really what the initial idea for the exhibition was."

This year's Met Gala dress code asks attendees to consider how a designer uses their body as a "blank canvas."

"Fashion Is Art," as a dress code, comes just two months after the party's co-chairs—or annual co-hosts—were revealed. Beyoncé will return to the Costume Institute benefit after ten years, serving as cochair with Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams.

Dove Cameron is reflecting on the expectations that have followed her since her early years as a Disney Channel star.

In a Feb. 22 interview with The Hollywood Reporter tied to her new Prime Video thriller 56 Days, the 30 year old actress and singer spoke about growing beyond the image many fans still associate with her. Cameron first gained widespread attention playing twin sisters on the Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie, which premiered in 2013 when she was 17. The show earned her a Daytime Emmy Award and ran until 2017. She also appeared in the hit Descendants film franchise, which debuted in 2015.

When asked how she moved past expectations linked to her child star persona, Cameron suggested she never made a deliberate effort to reinvent herself. She acknowledged that many people still picture her as the platinum blonde teenager smiling at the camera. However, she said it would be far stranger if she were still behaving like she did at 18 or 19 now that she is 30.

Cameron noted that she often sees social media posts claiming she has changed dramatically since her Disney days. In her view, the differences are minimal. She joked that the biggest changes are her hair color and the fact that she is older, insisting she feels like the same person she has always been.

Rather than staging a dramatic transition into adulthood, Cameron said she simply continued working and followed her instincts. She focused on developing her music career after her Disney contract ended. Her debut EP, Alchemical: Volume 1, was released in 2023 and marked a creative turning point. She explained that during her time with Disney she performed songs written for her, but once she was free from that contract, she began creating music that reflected her own voice and experiences. Even so, she does not see her shift into more mature projects as sudden or extreme.

Cameron also pointed to her role in the Apple TV+ musical comedy Schmigadoon!, which aired from 2021 to 2023, as a meaningful step in her growth. Working alongside older actors helped her evolve naturally in her career.

Despite ongoing comparisons to her younger self, Cameron said she is not bothered by fans who still associate her with their childhood memories. She believes those memories are meaningful and can coexist with the work she is doing now, without conflict.
