Reporter John Hunt of the BBC is dealing with a family tragedy. A guy has been arrested by British police on suspicion of killing the racing commentator's wife and two of their kids three times.

Following a manhunt that began after Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, were discovered fatally injured inside their home in Hertfordshire, which is located north of London, authorities found the culprit, Kyle Clifford, 26, in Enfield on July 10. Sky News reported.

The outlet's aerial footage shows cops transporting Clifford through a cemetery on a stretcher.

The Hertfordshire Constabulary stated in a statement, "He was found with injuries and is receiving medical treatment." "No shots were fired by police."

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit's Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins continued, "After exhaustive searches, the suspect has been located, and nobody else is being sought in connection with the investigation at this time."

Additionally, according to the statement, authorities "believe the suspect was known to the victims."

When emergency personnel arrived at the Hunt family's residence on July 9 in the evening, they discovered that three of the women had suffered severe injuries. Police had stated in a statement that featured a picture of the murder suspect that they later passed away on the site.

"It is currently believed to be a crossbow, but other weapons may also have been used," Hertfordshire Constabulary Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson stated at a press conference.

According to the BBC, Clifford is thought to have left the British Army in 2022 after a brief stint of duty.

The site reports that John and Carol have a third daughter, in addition to beautician Hannah and dog groomer Louise.

After the incident, Heidi Dawson, the controller of BBC 5 Live, released a statement.

"Our thoughts are with John and his family at this incredibly difficult time," she continued, "and we will provide him with all the support we can."

Furthermore, according to the BBC, which cited PA Media, the U.K. Home Office is currently evaluating the results of an internal investigation to determine whether stricter crossbow rules are necessary.

"We keep legislation under constant review and a call for evidence was launched earlier this year to look at whether further controls on crossbows should be introduced," a spokesperson said. "The home secretary will swiftly consider the findings to see if laws need to be tightened further."
