Ukraine's towns and cities remain under sustained aerial assault as the war grinds on.
Russian drone and missile attacks across Ukraine have killed at least 10 people and left dozens more injured in the past 24 hours, according to regional officials.
Authorities in multiple regions confirmed fatalities, underscoring the continued intensity of Moscow's campaign targeting urban and frontline areas with waves of drones and missiles.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv had carried out strikes on key Russian oil infrastructure, including tankers and a major export terminal. He added that several vessels believed to be part of Russia's so-called "shadow fleet" had been hit in separate operations.
Ukraine's air force reported that hundreds of drones were launched overnight, with the majority intercepted or electronically jammed before reaching their targets. However, several impacts were confirmed across a number of locations, along with damage caused by falling debris.
Regional leaders said deaths were recorded in Kherson, Odesa, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy, with casualties spread across both frontline and coastal areas. Emergency crews continue rescue and recovery efforts in affected communities.
Meanwhile, Russia said it had come under large-scale drone attacks of its own, with strikes reported in its northwestern regions. Ukrainian forces have increasingly targeted oil facilities and export routes, aiming to disrupt revenue streams linked to energy exports.
Zelensky said infrastructure at a Baltic Sea terminal had sustained significant damage, while additional strikes targeted vessels near a major Black Sea port. He noted that ships used to transport oil had been put out of operation.
Moscow has largely played down the impact of such attacks, though officials have acknowledged heightened security concerns. Plans for upcoming national events have reportedly been scaled back, citing potential threats.
The escalation highlights a widening battlefield, with both sides intensifying long-range strikes. Kyiv maintains it is targeting military and economic assets, while accusing Russia of continuing attacks on civilian areas.
