In a significant de-escalation of their trade war, the US and China have agreed to a deal that will substantially cut import tariffs imposed on each other. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said both countries would lower their reciprocal tariffs by 115% for 90 days. The Trump administration must halt much of its dramatic downsizing of the federal workforce, a California judge ordered Friday.
