After Marly Rivera, an ESPN longtime MLB reporter that covered the New York Yankees blatantly insulted a fellow reporter while getting ready to interview Aaron Judge on-air a few days ago, we now know that she's been released by the network since.

What happened between Marly Rivera and Ivon Gaete?

On April 18, Marly Rivera was getting ready for her scheduled on-air interview with Aaron Judge during their series against Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels at Yankee Stadium when freelancer reporter Ivon Gaete walked over to Judge and asked him a question, ignoring Rivera's explanation about how this was a scheduled interview, and at that moment was when she insulted her colleague, according to the New York Post.

"Fu***ng c**t," was the insult thrown by Rivera.

According also to the New York Post, Rivera apologized to Gaete who didn't take her apology, with the former ESPN reporter saying she accepts full responsability for what she said, adding she shouldn't have.

"There were extenuating circumstances but that in no way is an excuse for my actions."

An ESPN spokesman, Josh Krulewitz issued a statement confirming Marly Rivera's firing after 12 years with the network, with the reporter having previously worked at Univision and the MLB.
