Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa and Curt Schilling's chances of getting into the Baseball Hall of Fame took a serious hit when they failed to surpass the 75% vote needed Tuesday to enter the Cooperstown, New York, Enclosure.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America decided not to include any of these four stellar players in MLB history in their tenth and final year of eligibility and will now have to wait for the 16-member Today's Game Era Committee to meet in December of this year and put them on a ballot where only 10 players can be placed and 12 votes are needed to be inducted.

Puerto Rican shortstop Carlos Correa is the most desired free agent on the MLB open market, to the extent that he preferred to wait until the lockout to subsequently get the biggest deal once transfers are reactivated, although many are wondering what the shortstop's net worth is in 2021.

Correa, 27, made his major league debut in 2015 after the Houston Astros selected him with the first overall pick in the 2012 MLB Draft.
