Jack Grealish has welcomed a new addition to his family. The Manchester City and England national team footballer shared on Instagram that he and his girlfriend, Sasha Attwood, celebrated the arrival of their first child, a baby girl named Mila Rose Grealish, on Friday, Sept. 27.
On Monday, Oct. 7, Grealish posted a black-and-white photo of Mila Rose's tiny hand holding onto a parent's pinky finger, simply captioning it, "Mila Rose Grealish 🩵. 27/09/24."
Several teammates from past and present sent their congratulations in the comments. Marcus Rashford, his current Manchester City teammate, left a heart emoji, "❤️." England national and Arsenal player Declan Rice commented, "❤️😍," while Alex Zinchenko, also from Arsenal, added, "Congrats to you both brother ❤️." Ross Barkley from Aston Villa chimed in with, "Congrats lad."
Attwood also posted the same black-and-white image on her Instagram, captioning it, "27/09/24 Mila Rose Grealish 🩷. The most special moment of my life ✨." Her followers shared their joy in the comments, with one person writing, "Good job mamma! So glad you're both well!!! Sending so much love." Another user added, "Girl mum!!!!💖💖💖💖. So happy for you! Welcome to the best chapter yet!!! Xxx."
Grealish and Attwood, who met as students at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Secondary School in Solihull, England, began dating at age 16. Despite their on-and-off relationship over the years, the couple announced they were expecting in July. In the announcement, Grealish posted a photo holding Attwood's baby bump, captioning it, "Life's biggest blessing 👶🏻🩵," while Attwood wrote, "Half of me, half of you—beyond blessed ✨🤍🙏🏻."
Following the pregnancy reveal, Attwood shared several photos of her growing baby bump, including images from their maternity photo shoot in late September.
Since Mila Rose's arrival, Grealish and Attwood have been showered with love and well-wishes from friends, family, and fans alike. The couple, who have shared glimpses of their relationship over the years, now embark on this new chapter as parents.
