Machine Gun Kelly has dismissed a viral social media post claiming he regrets losing Megan Fox, firmly denying that the emotional message about their former relationship came from him.
The speculation began after a screenshot circulated online showing what appeared to be a post from the rapper's account on X. The message suggested that seeing recent photographs of Fox had left him regretting the end of their romance, describing her as the woman of his dreams and expressing remorse over how their relationship had unfolded.
However, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, quickly challenged the authenticity of the screenshot. Responding to the circulating claims on October 13, the musician bluntly described the alleged tweet as fake, putting an end to speculation that he had publicly confessed to regretting their separation.
The incident has reignited online interest in the former couple, whose relationship attracted considerable public attention before their 2024 split. The pair share a 19 month old daughter, Saga, and their relationship continues to generate discussion among fans despite their separation.
This is not the first time Baker has had to address rumours about a possible reconciliation. Earlier this year, he dismissed speculation that the two were preparing to rekindle their romance, criticising mainstream gossip coverage in a post on Instagram.
Although the relationship has ended, Baker has previously spoken warmly about his time with Fox. During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in 2025, he described their relationship as an extraordinary experience marked by love, pain and magic. He also praised Fox as a remarkable partner with whom to have a child.
The musician has similarly acknowledged Fox's role in raising their daughter. During an appearance on Today in August 2025, he redirected praise for his fatherhood towards Fox, saying she carried much of the responsibility while he hoped their child would be happy.
Baker also has an older daughter, Casie, with his former partner Emma Cannon. Fox, meanwhile, has three older children with actor Brian Austin Green.
The fake post demonstrates how quickly unverified celebrity content can spread online, particularly when it appears to reveal private emotions about a high profile relationship. Screenshots featuring familiar account names and personal photographs can look convincing, even when the statements attributed to public figures are not genuine.
For now, Baker's response makes one point clear: the viral message about regretting his split from Fox should not be treated as an authentic statement from the rapper. His comments about their past relationship and co parenting remain part of the public record, but the latest confession circulating online was denied by him.
