“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son. Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you,” Halle wrote on her Instagram page on January 6th 2024. She also posted a photo of her fingers and her boyfriends’ hand holding their baby’s arm, showing off a gold bracelet written ‘Halo’.
Her rapper boyfriend, DDG also captioned the image, claiming that their son is the biggest blessing by far. Nicki Minaj, Tia Mowry and Rachel Zegler were among the first celebrities to congratulate the couple.
This announcement came as a surprise to fans because Halle has been denying the pregnancy rumours. During a Q & A session with her fans on Snapchat after her child’s birth, Halle claimed that she hid her pregnancy because she wanted to have a beautiful and private healthy time in her pregnancy journey. “I feel like sometimes as people in the limelight, people feel like they want to know every little thing about their life, but l think it is really beautiful if you keep some things private and sacred,” She said.
Taking to her Snapchat story on Monday, April 15, Halle opened up on her struggle with postpartum depression and her trying to work while still being severely postpartum. She also claimed that she would freak out when she is separated from her child for more than 30 minutes. She also stated that since having a baby, she has been feeling like a completely different person.
The “Angel” songstress expressed gratitude and praised her boyfriend DDG, claiming that he is the most amazing daddy in the world. She claims that he is supportive, perfect and so present. Halle also claims that she is easily triggered by social media and how hurtful things are said about her and her family. She also called out women who look down on and judge other women. She ends her message by saying that she wants everyone to be kind.
