Megan Thee Stallion is the latest celebrity to find herself in a sexual harassment lawsuit. According to NBC, Megan is accused of allegedly forcing Emilio Garcia, a cameraman to watch her have sex with another woman. Garcia claimed he was trapped in a SUV with Megan when the incident happened.
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles superior court, Emilio Garcia claims that the incident happened in Spain in 2022. Garcia claims he was in a moving car with Megan and three other women and Megan was having sex with one of the women. “I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and l was shocked at the overall audacity to do this beside me,” he told NBC. He claimed that Meg gave him a warning not to tell anyone, after he told her he was in the car when it all happened.
Garcia also claimed that Megan would fat shame him to the extent of telling him to spit out his food. Occasionally, she would also tells him that he doesn’t need to be eating. “ To hear someone who advocates about loving your body telling me those things, l felt degraded,” he said. He also claims that the work environment was too hostile for him, claiming that the harassment was severe and pervasive. He started working as Megan’s personal cameraman in 2018 and stopped working with her in 2023.
He also alleges that Megan started treating him differently after the trip. He also claimed that he was unlawfully fired and that Roc Nation notified him that his services were no longer required by Megan. Garcia also claims that he is advocating for himself because the entertainment industry has no HR department. It is also alleges that he is owed more than six figures in back pay.
Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro said that she would fight the lawsuit in court. “This is an employment claim for money with no sexual harassment claim filed with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her,” Spiro said.
“ Megan just needs to pay our client what he’s due, own up to her behaviour and quit this sort of sexual harassment and fat shaming conduct,” Ron Zambiano, Garcia’s attorney said in a press release. “ Emilio should have been put in a position of having to be in a vehicle with her while she had sex with another woman. ‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly. Exposing this behaviour to employees is definitely illegal.”
